Dr Furqan Arshad is a Sydney trained Specialist Anaesthetist working in both Public and Private practice.

He has public appointments at Royal North Shore, Concord and Nepean Hospital.

He is also accredited at Private hospitals including Nepean Private, Norwest Private, Westmead Private, The SAN, North Shore Private and Mater Hospital.

Dr Arshad completed training through Nepean and Royal North Shore Hospitals with a wide range of sub-speciality experience.

He has special interests in orthopaedics, Upper GI, ENT, Urology, Spinal Surgery and Regional Anaesthesia.

Dr Arshad has an interest in medical education and training and is a tutor for the Anaesthetic Examinations.

Dr Arshad holds membership with Australia and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.

Outside of work interests include running and spending time with his two kids.

Dr Dal Cortivo is a consultant Anaesthetist with public appointments at Concord Repatriation General Hospital and Ryde Hospital. He also has private appointments at North Shore Private, Mater, Sydney Adventist, Macquarie University, St Luke’s Private and Westmead Private Hospitals.

Dr Dal Cortivo completed his anaesthetic training through the Concord Hospital rotational scheme and Royal North Shore Hospital and has experience across a wide range of sub-specialties. He has particular interest in anaesthesia for upper gastrointestinal surgery (incl bariatric), orthopaedics, vascular, urology & robotic surgery. He also has an interest in medical education and is a supervisor of training at Ryde Hospital. He is a member of the Australian Society of Anaesthetists.

Dr Tara Dalby is a specialist anaesthetist at Royal North Shore Hospital, Royal North Shore Private Hospital, the Mater Hospital, Macquarie University Hospital and Sydney Adventist Hospital. Following training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Dr Dalby has sub-specialised with a fellowship in Neuroanaesthesia/Spine from the University of Toronto, Toronto Western Hospital. Other interests include anaesthesia for interventional neuroradiology, bariatrics, ENT (adult and paediatric) and pain management.

Dr Dalby is involved in the education of anaesthesia trainees. She is a fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and a member of the Australian Society of Anaesthetists. Outside of work Dr Dalby enjoys the beach and water related activities.

Dr Zoe Daskalopoulos is a specialist anaesthetist working in public and private hospitals across Sydney. Her current appointments include Mater Hospital, North Shore Private Hospital, Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, East Sydney Private Hospital, Northern Beaches Hospital and Hunters Hill Private Hospital.

Dr Daskalopoulos completed her anaesthetic training and fellowship at Royal North Shore Hospital covering a wide range of subspecialties. She has a special interest in obstetrics, gynaecology, urology, paediatrics, bariatrics, orthopaedics, plastics and vascular surgery. She has completed further training in peri-operative medicine through Monash University.

Dr Daskalopoulos is a fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and a member of the Australian Society of Anaesthetists.

Outside of work, Zoe enjoys spending time with her family in the outdoors. She also occasionally enjoys time without them.

Prof Damien Finniss is a Specialist Anaesthetist and Specialist Pain Medicine Physician working predominantly on Sydney’s lower north shore.

He has sub-speciality interests in Anaesthesia for Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Spinal Surgery.

Prof Finniss is Chair of Anaesthesia at the Mater Hospital, Director of Acute Pain Services at Royal North Shore Hospital and a full professor at the University of Sydney. He is involved in education, training, and examination of health professionals at several levels. He holds multiple leadership positions at state, national and international levels ranging from the promotion of research and clinical standards through to health policy development.

Dr Dush Iyer is a specialist anaesthetist practicing in public and private hospitals across Sydney’s North Shore. His hospital appointments include Royal North Shore, North Shore Private, The Mater, Sydney Adventist, Macquarie University and Wyvern Private.

Dush completed his anaesthetic training at Royal North Shore Hospital, a tertiary-level obstetric and trauma centre, giving him extensive experience across a number of surgical specialties and in perioperative pain management. He complemented his anaesthetic training with a secondment with the CareFlight Rapid Response Helicopter, where he was trained to resuscitate and transport critically injured patients from austere environments. He is also an Army Reservist and has retrieved critically unwell patients from foreign countries.

Dush is heavily involved in the education of medical students, junior doctors and anaesthetists. He is a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sydney and teaches on a number of simulation-based courses including the Emergency Management of Anaesthetic Crises (EMAC). He is passionate about the science of human factors and optimising the performance of individuals, teams, and systems.

Dr Anisha Kulkarni is a specialist anaesthetist practicing at hospitals across the North shore, including Royal North Shore, North Shore Private, The SAN and Mater Hospitals. Anisha completed her anaesthetic training between hospitals in Sydney and Adelaide, including time in speciality Paediatric and Obstetric hospitals. She has a special interest in anaesthesia for Orthopaedics, Urology, Ear nose and Throat surgery as well as Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Anisha has additional expertise in Perioperative Allergy and anaesthetic allergy testing, and works as part of the Anaesthetic allergy service at Royal North Shore Hospital. Anisha is involved in Medical Education and is an Instructor on Simulation Courses for anaesthetists, helping them learn to manage medical emergencies more effectively.

When not working, Anisha loves spending time with her husband, 2 children and Labrador.

Dr Mahoney is a specialist anaesthetist at Royal North Shore Hospital, with additional hospital appointments including North Shore Private Hospital, The Mater Hospital, Ryde Hospital, The Northern Beaches Hospital and Pittwater Day Surgery.

Dr Mahoney completed anaesthetics specialist training at Royal North Shore Hospital with a wide range of sub-speciality experience. She has a special interest in anaesthesia for obstetrics and gynaecology, urology, interventional gastroenterology, spinal surgery and trauma. She is involved in medical education and mentorship, and is an instructor at The Sydney Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre.

Dr O’Leary is a specialist Anaethetist with appoinments at Royal North Shore, Ryde, The Mater, North Shore Private, Sydney Adventist Hospital, Northern Beaches and Castlecrag hospitals.

After completing her speciality training at Royal North Shore Hospital, Dr O’Leary further sub specialised in Obstetric Anaesthesia in Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Sweden. Dr O’Leary’s has a wide scope of practice with particular interest in orthopaedic and ear nose and throat surgery.

Dr O’Leary is actively involved in teaching and education and is currently a supervisor of training at Ryde Hospital.

Dr O’Loughlin is a Specialist Anaesthetist practicing in Sydney including appointments at Royal North Shore, North Shore Private, The Mater, Northern Beaches and Wyvern Hospitals.

Following completion of his medical studies at the University of Sydney, Dr O’Loughlin undertook specialist anaesthetic training at Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH), including a rotation at Care Flight Rapid Response Helicopter (CRRH) the pre eminent aeromedical retrieval service in NSW & a general fellowship at RNSH.

Special interests include anaesthesia for orthopaedic and trauma surgery, vascular surgery and high risk obstetrics, and medical education and crisis management.

Dr O’Loughlin holds membership with the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA), the Australian Society of Anaesthetists (ASA) and the Australian Salaried Medical Officers Foundation (ASMOF).

Dr O’Loughlin is a proud father to three young girls & enjoys running & playing golf in his spare time.

Dr Prowse is a specialist anaesthetist practicing in public and private hospitals across Sydney’s North Shore. His hospital appointments include Northern Beaches, North Shore Private, The Mater, Sydney Adventist & Hornsby hospitals.

Dr Prowse completed Anaesthetic Specialist training through Royal North Shore hospital. During this time he trained across a wide range of sub-specialties. He has a special interest in vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, obstetrics & gynaecology, urology and trauma surgery. He is also involved in medical education and training and is an instructor on the Effective Management of Anaesthetic Crises (EMAC) simulation course for trainee and consultant anaesthetists.

Dr Darin Westaway is a specialist anaesthetist practising in public and private hospitals on the North Shore and in Western Sydney. His current appointments include Westmead Hospital, Sydney Adventist Hospital (the SAN), North Shore Private Hospital, the Mater Hospital and Westmead Private Hospital.

Darin completed his anaesthetic training at Westmead Hospital and subsequently completed his fellowship in advanced airway management, working closely with ENT, maxillofacial and plastic surgeons. He also has special interests in orthopaedics, obstetrics, vascular and robotic surgery. Darin is heavily involved in training the anaesthetists of the future through his work with the anaesthetic college where he works as an examiner, runs preparation courses for exam candidates and co-ordinates simulation training in managing anaesthetic emergencies.

When not in his hospital scrubs, you’ll find Darin down at the beach and trying to keep up with his wife and three daughters.
